According to tradition, St. Lorenzo was martyred on 10 August of the year 258. In his memory, the town is decked out with the white and green of the local groups. Tradition and amusement, mingle together: musical performances, dances and cultural events. Among the traditional acts are the Rosario de la Aurora (Dawn Rosary) in the Cathedral; the offers of flowers and fruit; the “vaquillas” (young bulls), the famous bull festival; and the procession of the saint, where the dancers of Huesca show their agility in the dances of the paloteao, of ribbons, of swords or degollau .
