Ensogado Bull in Teruel City
Date: The second Sunday in July, close to St. Cristobal.
Dedicated to the Santo Angel (Holy Angel), the patron saint of the city, they commemorate the legendary foundation of Teruel by some Aragonese knights after taking the Moslem fortress, which a fighting bull led them to. The most popular celebration is the “toro ensogado”, a bull that runs through the streets amongst the shouts of the boys, especially on Monday. But above all, it is the popular and street festival, with performances, dances, jotas(typical dance), fireworks and “vaquillas” (young bulls)
